An uninitialized pointer access vulnerability in Juniper's routing protocol daemon (rpd) with BGP sharding enabled allows attackers to cause route resolution churn through IGP route changes, leading to rpd crashes and denial of service. This affects Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved routers running vulnerable versions with BGP sharding configured. Network operators with affected Juniper devices in BGP sharding configurations are at risk.
