📋 TL;DR
An unauthenticated, logically adjacent BGP peer can cause a denial of service by triggering a crash and restart of the routing protocol daemon (rpd) in Juniper Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved. This occurs when BGP rib-sharding and update-threading are configured and a BGP peer flaps with specific timing. The vulnerability affects both eBGP and iBGP sessions in IPv4 and IPv6 implementations.
