📋 TL;DR
An unauthenticated attacker can cause denial of service by sending a specially crafted BGP update with a malformed AS PATH attribute to Juniper devices running vulnerable Junos OS versions with BMP configured for rib-in pre-policy monitoring. This causes the routing protocol daemon (RPD) to crash and restart, disrupting network routing. Affected systems include Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved in multiple versions.
