CVE-2024-21598
📋 TL;DR
A network-based attacker can cause denial of service by sending a specially crafted BGP update with a malformed tunnel encapsulation TLV to Juniper devices running vulnerable Junos OS versions. This causes the routing daemon (rpd) to crash and restart, disrupting network routing. All Juniper devices running affected Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved versions with BGP enabled are vulnerable.
