Denial of Service

📋 TL;DR

An unauthenticated attacker on the same wireless network can send continuous mDNS packets to Cisco IOS XE Wireless LAN Controllers, causing high CPU usage that disconnects access points and creates a denial of service. This affects organizations using vulnerable Cisco WLCs with mDNS gateway enabled. The vulnerability requires physical proximity to the wireless network.
