📋 TL;DR
An unauthenticated network attacker can send malformed TCP traffic to cause an infinite loop in the Packet Forwarding Engine on Juniper MX Series routers, resulting in a complete denial of service requiring manual restart. This affects Junos OS versions with PPPoE configured interfaces and tcp-mss enabled. Network administrators with vulnerable Juniper MX routers in production are impacted.
