📋 TL;DR
This CVE-2021-31379 is an incorrect behavior order vulnerability in Juniper Junos OS MAP-E automatic tunneling mechanism that allows attackers to send malformed IPv4/IPv6 packets to cause denial of service. The vulnerability affects MX Series routers with specific MPC cards when MAP-E IP reassembly is enabled, leading to PFE fabric being disabled. Only Junos OS versions 17.2R1 and later are affected.
