📋 TL;DR
This vulnerability affects Juniper Networks PTX and QFX Series devices running Junos OS with packet sampling configured using tunnel-observation mpls-over-udp. When a malformed packet is sampled, it causes the Kernel Routing Table (KRT) queue to become stuck, leading to packet forwarding issues and potential network disruption. The vulnerability affects multiple Junos OS versions from 17.2X75 through 20.1R2.
